Friday Night Funkin (FNF) is a rhythm game where you play as Boyfriend and your goal is to defeat different characters that Daddy Dearest hires to stop you from dating his daughter.
You must take part in different rap battle levels known as Weeks. Each week contains three songs. To win the contests, you must mirror a pattern of notes using the WASD or the arrow keys. And the patterns vary with each song.
The player can also select the game difficulty from Easy, Normal, to Hard. As you change the mode, the speed and pattern of arrows also change.
FNF game features two game modes:
Story mode: Songs are played linearly
Free Play: You can select any song you like to play
If you are new to the game, we recommend you start with Easy difficulty. And if you want to practice, you can try the FreePlay mode and work on your favorite song.
Currently, Friday Night Funkin features a tutorial, 7 weeks, and 21 songs. It's an open-source game and you can create your own modes or try a wide range of FNF mods available online for free.
