In each round, you are dropped in a different place around the world, and only hints from the environment can help you figure out where you are.

How to Play Geoguessr

Each Geoguessr game starts with you in a different place on Google Maps. Because roads are sometimes dark, long, and twisting, you can roam around and find signs if you can't find your way. Look for landmarks, coastlines, street signs, building styles, and other natural features to locate yourself. A street sign or billboard with words can help you guess a country or region.

• Random Locations: Every GeoGuessr game starts in a different, random place, so each time you play, it will be different.
• Like Google Street View, Street View Navigation lets you move around and look around the area to find hints and make guesses.
• You get more points if you can guess the position of the object more accurately. Test your talents and beat your greatest score!

Controls

Your mouse lets you change the view, and the arrow keys let you move around the Geoguessr world. Right next to that, you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out of the choices.
